PRINTABILITY
Classic Linen’s surface is engineered for consistent ink holdout and reduced dot gain—especially valuable for offset, digital, and specialty print processes. –
Thanks to Classic Linen’s strength and texture, specialty techniques such as foil stamping, embossing/debossing, engraving, letterpress, and lithographic scoring are never a problem! Classic Linen’s formation and surface structure allows for stable ink transfer and predictable drying time.
Classic Linen supports offset processes with high stability and print fidelity. Its tactile surface makes these techniques particularly striking, giving designers additional opportunities to elevate any printing project. Classic Linen runs extremely well on digital equipment, including digital embellishment systems and ensures trouble-free printing.
The consistent texture throughout the sheet improves print alignment, color matching, and overall production quality.
LOOK & FEEL
Classic Linen has a very distinctive, memorable feel – elegant, tactile, and intentionally reminiscent of fine woven fabric.
The embossed linen finish provides timeless depth and refinement, which makes printed pieces feel premium and luxurious. Classic Linen boasts a brightness factor of 93 or higher, depending on the selected weight. Classic Linen is an opaque sheet, which minimizes show-through.
ENVIRONMENTAL ATTRIBUTES
Sustainability has become a defining expectation in the paper sector, and Neenah has made environmental stewardship central to its identity. Classic® Linen is FSC® and Green Seal Certified.
It is produced using 30% post-consumer recycled fibers. Classic Linen is also PCF (Processed Chlorine-Free) which minimizes toxins released into the environment. Classic Linen is produced acid free – adding to its archival properties. Classic Linen is produced carbon neutral, lowering its environmental footprint.
